2 SEPTA workers die from COVID-19, union says

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two SEPTA workers have died from COVID-19, the transit union said Monday night.

Willie Brown, president of Transport Workers Union Local 234, told KYW Newsradio that one employee worked at the South Philly Depot. The other was an Elmwood Trolley Depot worker.

These are the first two TWU Local 234 deaths related to coronavirus.


The transit union said it now has 46 workers who have tested positive for the virus.
