Gas Leak Forces Homes To Be Evacuated In Winslow Township

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) — Some homes in Winslow Township have been evacuated due to a gas leak. The gas leak happened in the area of South Egg Harbor Road and Fleming Pike around 11:15 a.m.

Authorities say contractors struck a six-inch gas main, causing nearby homes to evacuate.

Camden County has brought in their Office of Emergency Management bus to provide shelter to any of those needing it.

South Jersey Gas is currently on the scene to stop the leak.

No injuries have been reported.
