Man Stabbed In Chest At Walnut-Locust SEPTA Subway Station In Center City

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A man is in a hospital after a stabbing in a SEPTA concourse in Center City.  It happened near Broad and Spruce Streets, around 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

Officials say the victim, believed to be in his 30’s, was stabbed in the chest while in the concourse of the Walnut-Locust subway station.

The man was found unresponsive and was taken to Hahnemann Hospital in an unknown condition.

Today is the second day of a strike by SEPTA police, which has reduced patrols.
