Museum of the American Revolution brings spring break online

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Museum of the American Revolution is making their spring break programming available online this year and it features lots of fun and educational activities for kids.

Since people can’t go to the museum, the museum is going to them online. The virtual spring break includes different activities daily, such as cooking classes and live Q&A sessions with curators and historians.

“We’ve got some great opportunities to visit the museum virtually on a virtual field trip or through our virtual museum, but we’re also every day posting new content. So craft activities you can download, story time videos. I’ll even be cooking from my kitchen dressed like a continental soldier so you can cook along with us if you want,” said Tyler Putman, the Gallery Interpretation Manager.

The virtual spring break runs through April 17.

“And that just means that every day there will be new content online, but all of that will continue to be on our website along with a lot of material that’s already online and will be there forever,” he added.

Including a beyond the battlefield field trip and some of the museum’s artwork and artifacts.
