PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police say a person of interest, believed to be involved with the deadly robbery-turned-murder in Germantown Thursday, has been taken into custody.
Authorities previously released video that showed a man at the Delmar Bar and Lounge open fire at 58-year-old Jeffrey Johnson around 2 o’clock in the morning.
Police say the gunman had entered the bar, waited until everyone leaves and then “intentionally” fired his gun at Johnson.
Johnson, who was shot in the chest, would die about 30 minutes after the shooting at Albert Einstein Medical Center.
The shooter, investigators say, also stole a few hundred dollars before leaving the scene.
