Police: Chester shooting leaves 14-year-old boy critical

CHESTER, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A 14-year-old boy is critically wounded after police say he was shot in the head, outside of a Chester grocery store.

The Chester Police Department say the shooting took place around 3:00 p.m. out front of the De Marco’s Market, along the 2700 block of 12th Street, near Highland Avenue.

The teen, police say, was rushed to an area hospital, where he remains in crictical condition.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Authorites say it is still unclear what led up to the shooting, or how many shots were fired.
