Police searching for man who slashed woman’s face near Jefferson Station

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) β€” Police are searching for a man they say was screaming in the streets and attacked a woman with a knife.

On March 25 around 7:45 p.m., a 38-year-old woman reportedly heard a man screaming near 10th and Filbert streets. The man then approached the woman, who he did not know, and slashed her face with a knife, then fled.

The man then went a block over to the corner of 11th and Filbert, yelling at passersby and banging his fists on the wall.

He was last seen running south on 11th Street.

The man was described as wearing a black hoodie with white or yellow writing on the front, black jeans, and black shoes. He has a beard, and has a medium to heavy build.
