PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are now investigating after a shooting and a vehicle collision leaves four people, including two cops, hospitalized in North Philadelphia.
It happened just after 7:15 p.m. when officers were responding to a shooting along the 1400 block of West Lehigh Avenue, authorities say.
While en route, officials say, a police cruiser and a gray Kia collided at North Broad Street and West Glenwood Avenue.
Police say all three were transported to Temple University Hospital. The officers are said to have only suffered minor injuries, but the condition of the man driving the Kia is unknown at this time.
The shooting, which happened just minutes before the collision, also left a 19-year-old in critical condition
According to police, the teenage victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body.
Officials say the no arrests have been made and investigators are on the scene.
