PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are investigating the discovery Tuesday of a body in a trash can.
Police say a teenage girl told her guidance counselor that she knew about the killing, which happened a few weeks ago around Christmas.
“It’s disturbing that somebody would do something like this to a human being — discard them like trash. We’re fortunate that the student did come forward,” said acting Police Commissioner Christine Coulter.

The girl, Coulter says, is being treated as a witness.
The cops went to 6th Street and Hunting Park, and around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday they say they found a male body stuffed in a trash can.
Police say whoever killed the victim knew him. The exact relationships among the killer, the victim and the teenage girl haven’t been made clear officially.
