UPPER DARBY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A fight over a parking spot at a Wawa in Upper Darby left one woman with a head wound from a tire iron and another woman in jail.
Police have just released details of the attack on March 10 at the 69th Street location.
Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said the spat started in the parking lot and continued inside.
“When she walked away, the defendant struck her in the side of the head one time, causing a significant contusion on her forehead,” said Chitwood.
Officers found 51-year-old Aretha Robinson from Philadelphia still inside the Wawa, with a four-pronged tire iron in hand.
“Her stupidity, her anger and her short temper caused her to be placed in jail and charged with significant charges,” he added, which include aggravated assault.
Robinson is free after posting bail.
The victim is said to be OK.
