Former White House counsel Don McGahn whined that he felt trapped while serving former President Donald Trump.
Speaking to the House Judiciary Committee in a closed-door session, McGahn lamented that he was put in a difficult position when Trump said that he was going to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller to protect himself.
“After I got off the phone with the President, how did I feel? Oof. Frustrated, perturbed, trapped. Many emotions,” he said.
The problem, however, is that McGahn wasn’t alone in risking his career for the good of the country. As activist Christine Pelosi pointed out, Marie Yovanovitch, Alexander Vindman, Bill Taylor and Fiona Hill all testified despite their fears and anxieties about coming forward.
